What it is
Mindi, also called Mendikot, is a trick-taking card game from western India. Four players sit in two partnerships, partners facing each other, with a full pack of 52 cards. Only the four tens matter: a ten is a mindi, and the team that captures three or four of them wins the deal.
On Khel ON you can play with three bots at Easy, Normal or Hard, pass one phone around the table with up to four people, or learn with a guided first deal where a coach explains the hidden trump and each card you play. Pink stars mark the tens in your hand. Families who play their own way can pick how trumps are chosen: hidden, hidden with asking, cut, or open. You earn XP, badges and new table styles just by playing. There are no coins, chips or betting.

How to play
Sit with your partner opposite
Four players make two teams. Everyone gets 13 cards. Aces are high, then King, Queen, Jack, 10 and down to 2. Play goes to the right, anticlockwise.
Hide a trump
After the first five cards, the player after the dealer puts one of them face down. Its suit is trumps, but nobody else knows. The first player who can't follow suit turns it up, and from then on that suit beats every other suit.
Follow suit and win tricks
The player after the dealer leads. Play the led suit if you have it; if not, play anything. The highest trump wins the trick, or else the highest card of the led suit. Partner winning? Throw them your ten.
Capture the tens
Win three or four tens and your team wins the deal: 1 point. If each team has two, the team with seven or more tricks wins. All four tens is a Mendikot (2 points), and all 13 tricks is a whitewash (3). First to 5 points wins the match.
Ways to play
Against bots
Easy makes friendly mistakes, Normal guards its tens and feeds its partner, and Hard thinks ahead about the cards it hasn't seen.
Pass and play
Up to four people share one phone. The screen covers your hand while you pass it on, so nobody sees the next player's cards.
Trump rules
Hidden trump (the standard), hidden with asking, cut (the first card played by someone who can't follow suit sets trumps) or open, plus a short, standard or long match.
